Fund Options

Unrestricted Endowments
These funds enable the Austin Community Foundation to meet the community's most pressing needs by allowing the Board of Governors to determine the recipients.

Donor Advised Funds
Distributions from these funds are made through consultation and with the advice of the donor to benefit charitable organizations.

Donor Designated Funds
These funds are created to benefit specific organizations or fields of interest in perpetuity.

Non-Profit Agency Endowments
These funds are created for non-profit organizations to provide permanent structure and professional investment management.

Charitable Remainder Trusts
This type of trust will make payments to a designated beneficiary during his or her lifetime, after which the principal passes to the Foundation.

Fiscal Sponsorship Funds
A fiscal sponsorship fund provides a conduit through which charitable contributions flow towards a specific project that will benefit Austin and the surrounding area.

Scholarship Funds
While the majority of these funds benefit graduating seniors of Austin high schools, scholarship funds may be established for all levels of education above high school. The school counselors, financial aid offices or advisory committees to the fund select the recipients.

Memorials and Tributes
This contribution can be made as a memorial or as a tribute to the living. The Austin Community Foundation sends a note to the honoree or the next of kin (in the case of a memorial contribution) that acknowledges the source of the contribution. The Foundation maintains a Book of Memories that provides a permanent record of all memorial contributions received.
