Thanks to your support, in 2011 the Austin Community Foundation proved vital to the strength and longevity of the precious support network we've all worked so hard to establish.

Our work with the Central Texas Wildfire Fund connected thousands of Central Texans in need with thousands of other Central Texans willing to help.

Representatives from ACF were on the ground in Bastrop and related affected communities within days thereafter working to assess needs and priorities. We facilitated numerous emergency grants to qualified service providers and will continue to do that as this terrible event transitions from emergency to a long-term recovery phase.

We are very proud of the role ACF played and continues to play in responding to the needs of our communities in Central Texas.

In October of 2011, ACF initiated another round of matching grant incentives to 15 nonprofits in our community interested in establishing, or adding to, their endowment assets, thereby further improving their ability to sustain their missions on a more permanent basis.

Specifically, through our Nonprofit Endowment Initiative, ACF offers to match $1.00 for every $4.00 raised by these endowments, up to $5,000 per year for four years. This means that if a non-profit selected is able to raise $80,000 over this time period, ACF will match with a $20,000 contribution, resulting in a $100,000 total endowment fund. 

The Nonprofit Endowment Initiative takes your donation dollars and exponentially increases their impact to enhance the quality and sustainability of nonprofits in our community.
