Investments Governance

The Board of Governors has ultimate responsibility over the management of investments for The Austin Community Foundation and issues an investment policy statement, which specifies allocation of assets to various types of investments and establishes guidelines for the Investment Committee.

The Investment Committee, a standing committee of the Board of Governors, is charged with overseeing investment activities. These include retaining investment managers, as needed, to meet the objectives of the investment policy and monitoring the performance of those managers. The committee also advises the Board of Governors on investment policies, including asset allocation. In 2011, the committee consists of eight members, selected for their investment expertise, four of whom also serve on the Board of Governors.
