Make a Donation: Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas Endowment Fund
The fund was established as an endowment for The Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas, which is the primary supplier of blood and tissue in Central Texas. The mission of The Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas is to safeguard the community’s gifts of blood and tissue with uncompromising quality and excellence in service. The Center collects whole blood and apheresis platelet donations that are tested extensively and processed into life-saving therapeutic components. Tissue donations can be used to avert or correct blindness, replace cancerous bone, repair heart defects, prevent the need for amputation, and save lives of burn victims. Approximately one million tissue transplants are performed annually nationwide.
